Archangel Gabriel

Do you think that Archangel Gabriel is trying to get your attention?  Have you been feeling like there is someone or something around you? Do you notice things frequently like bird feathers?  That’s just one of the things that Archangel Gabriel will use as well as the other angels when they’re trying to get your attention.  Lately are you increasingly becoming aware of butterflies, rainbows or dragonflies?

Another way Gabriel and other angels or ascended masters will get your attention is by showing up in your dreams.  These are not just ordinary dreams. Often you will wake up with a solution to your problem.  Keep a notebook and pen by your bedside table so you can record the answer that you received.  

When we are asleep we are no longer held captive by our 3D world but our souls travel outside of our bodies and we do our spiritual work.  I believe when we die it’s a very similar experience of not being held back by our bodies and our earthly reality.  You don’t need to die in order to escape the confines of your body.  Many of us work with the angels in our sleep. 

The various Archangels are associated with different colors.  Gabriel is associated with bright white light, copper or even a light blue.  The white represents purity, peace and innocence.  You may see white orbs or bright white shimmering lights.  The copper represents her trumpet for announcing the good news.  The light blue is connected to the throat chakra and she is associated with that because she is the communicator.  

It’s more common to see the lights from your peripheral vision instead of straight ahead.

This is a fun sign when you start noticing all of a sudden you keep seeing the name Gabriel.  I used to get so excited when I saw a cashier with that name, or several students that day, a street sign.  Gabriel will bring people or situations in your path for you to take notice.  Is your part to be aware and stop thinking everything is just a mere coincidence. 

Have you suddenly noticed that you have been experiencing a high pitch sound in your ears?  When the angels or archangels are communicating with you it’s at such a high vibrational frequency that it’s almost piercing. Some people find this unnerving, they automatically think something is wrong.  Others find this distressing and annoying.  I personally smile and get excited because I know that I am receiving a divine download. When this happens we receive information, our brains don’t understand but that’s okay.  Our whole being will process this information and it becomes a part of us.

A huge sign that Archangel Gabriel is around is all of a sudden you feel inspired receiving huge inspiration on something that you were thinking about starting for a long time.  Suddenly you are pushed to take action and begin right now.  You feel the creativity, clarity and passion flowing through you, no longer feeling blocked or stagnant.  This is especially true when you feel a strong desire, pushing you to express yourself.  This is strongly connected to creativity, that’s where our passion lies and needs to be given birth into our world.  Especially true in the artistic world of writing, communication and every form of art.

In the past did you find yourself holding back verbally?  Not truly expressing yourself, your needs, desires nor expressing your boundaries to others?  All of a sudden when Gabriel starts working with you, your throat chakra opens up.  You start to notice that the words start pouring out of you without you even having the intention of saying it.  I call this speaking your divine truth.  This is for our highest and greatest good.  We are speaking our truth, not being mean, not being cruel.  When we habitually swallow our words we are enemies to ourselves, putting other people’s feelings above our own.  This is not an excuse to be abusive, it’s simply allowing the words to flow through you.

When you are struggling to find your path, feeling uncertain about what your next step should be, that’s when Gabriel is by your side.  When we are in doubt about using your gifts, following your passions, that’s when Gabriel will be supporting you the most.  The archangel is there to guide, comfort, and support you by being prompted to take baby steps.  You will be led to give birth to your dreams.  We are all meant to live and share our passion with the world.  God/Source has gifted each and everyone of us with our unique gifts to be shared with all.  That’s how we live a fulfilled and passion driven life.

When I woke up I felt Gabriel around me all the time!  It was such a great comfort to me.  The reason that this happened is Archangel Gabriel’s presence is very strong especially when it comes to spiritual growth and spiritual work.  The communicator works closely with spiritual workers whether that be psychics, channelers, automatic writers and spiritual teachers.  Gabriel is there to guide and support those who do any kind of spiritual related messenger work that you do on behalf of spirit.

This will become obvious to you when out of the blue you strongly feel the urge for a new beginning in your life.  This sense of urgency to start anew is bigger than you and you feel the overwhelming sensation that you must take action.  That is Archangel Gabriel guiding you, giving divine support in a loving but firm manner.  Take great comfort that the changes that you are driven to make will always be for the better and your highest good.

Remember this angel is strongly connected with the family, including protecting our families.  When it comes to protecting our loved ones Gabrile’s strength comes through clearly.  Gabriel will push us to forgive others and heal our family relationships. Not in a judging way but bringing about peace and healing within our family relationships.  Whenever you have a problem or need to amends with family members, call upon Gabriel to aid you in repairing relationships.  You will be motivated to reach out and give forgiveness or ask for forgiveness.  You are not alone.  Archangel Gabriel is always by your side and very willing to offer help.  Pay attention because he will give you signs that your prayers have been heard.

This powerful angel has a connection to one of my favorite crystals that has amazing healing properties, selenite.  This crystal represents purity, healing, light, and is believed to have a connection with the higher realms.  It’s also associated with the moon and water. This is an excellent choice to use to help develop communication with your spirit guides and angels.  Both Gabriel and the crystal have very high frequencies and help develop psychic abilities.

That’s why this crystal is often used by healers.  It also helps with communication between family members as well as telepathic communication. I find it fascinating that there is so much in common between the attributes of the crystal and the archangel.

There are so many areas that Gabriel helps us in our lives on a daily basis.  Helping people to be successful in becoming pregnant, carrying the pregnancy to full term as well as a safe delivery.  I love the story where Dr. Wayne Dyer’s wife was in labor having a difficult experience.  A beautiful redhead nurse came in to calm her and taught her how to go in a trance-like state.  All of a sudden she was no longer terrified and easily handled the rest of her labor for a calm and peaceful birth.  Afterwards she wanted to thank the nurse only to find that there was no such nurse that worked there. 

Gabriel is great in helping us raise our children and bringing calmness into the house.  I even asked Gabriel to help when I was having a challenging day while I was teaching and Gabriel never let me down.

When you want to start a new beginning, turn over a new leaf. It has an exceptional boost to do this during the zodiac water signs, especially during Cancer.  Really lovely to call in Gabriel and use selenite at this time to create your special sacred space.

The scents associated with Gabriel are jasmine, rose, and myrrh.  I would also think whatever scent the lily has as well as the honesty plant.  Pay attention if you out of the blue notice a fragrance that there is no explanation for you to be able to smell.  There is no source for the aroma.  That’s a big sign Archangel Gabriel is striving to get your attention.  If you want to call this angel in, I recommend either working with essential oils of the fragrances mentioned, buy scented candles and a nice touch would be to put those two plants by your altar or whatever space you have created.

To start working with Archangel Gabriel you will want to be still, quiet your mind so you can observe her gentle energy.  You begin by meditating, or practice deep slow breathing.  As you practice your method of being still you will build up your energy where you can feel it raising up.  It’s necessary to tune into the correct frequency to receive communication or messages from Gabriel or other angels.  If you are constantly distracted you will not hear them standing in front of you and shouting.  You need to learn to be still.  Learn to shut off your tv, phone and any unnecessary distractions while you do this.

Archangel Gabriel can be one of your biggest allies and champions when you are going through some dark times in your life.  Call upon this angel and lean into the soft, loving energy.  Keep in mind she is no pushover, not an enabler, she will expect you to get up off the floor and help yourself.  She is a straight shooter speaking the truth but not being harsh, just honest.  Gabriel’s love is beautiful, a kind nurturing mother that wants the best for you and loves you deeply.  

Call upon Gabriel to surround you and your loved ones with her bright shining light to keep you safe.  She  carries her lantern so there is no darkness to fear.  She will keep you and your loved ones safe, imagine the ultimate mama bear.

The words that are associated with her are intuition, clarity, discipline and protection, not necessarily in that order.  With these attributes you can see that she is a powerful ally.

It’s helpful to do meditation or deep slow breathing exercises with crystals.  You can use your favorite or you can use the ones that are known to have a high frequency.  Some great crystals to use when working with Gabriel are selenite, Herkimer diamond, celestite, moldavite and angelite.  When you start working with them the first time you may feel like you are flying high, even dizzy, or perhaps sleepy.

Do not be frustrated if you can’t stay at a high level of frequency for an extended time, that comes with time and practice.  

To help you find your higher path or divine path Gabriel gives you the needed discipline, guidance, and clarity to take the first step to follow that path.  Your intuition or gut feelings will start nudging you forward, visions of what you should do next or seeing the outcome appear.  Often we will receive guidance in our dreams to move towards our goals.  Sometimes our life path can be difficult, challenging and not align with the values of the world.  Do not despair for Archangel Gabriel and others are there to support you in your time of need and will be with you for the entire journey.  

To help with this process of clear communication you can raise your vibration up by imagining yourself on an elevator.  You see yourself surrounded by a beautiful golden and brilliant white light.  You are aware of your energy cord attached to you and you want to go all the way up the elevator until you reach the beginning of your energy cord to your higher-self.  

Before you start to pray or meditate, it’s good energy to light a white candle for peace and harmony, shifting the energy of your day or space.  You may change the color to work with a different angel or to attract the frequency for a specific desire you are working to manifest into your reality.  It’s beneficial to write down your prayers or petitions on paper and place them on your altar or carve them into your candle and place it on your sacred space.  For safety, you can place sand or water in a small bowl then place the candle in that to burn if left unattended.
